back to school at the sew, mama, sew! blog

In case you haven’t seen it yet, I wanted to let you know about a special guest post I wrote for Sew, Mama, Sew!’s Back to School series. This post focuses on sewing school uniforms with Oliver + S patterns.

Sew, Mama, Sew

Sew, Mama, Sew! has generously provided us with a $40 gift certificate to their store to give away to one of our readers. Leave a comment on this post to be entered into the giveaway. We’ll draw the lucky winner next Tuesday morning New York time.

My daughter started school two weeks ago (they start the day after they turn 5 here in NZ) and already clothes are an issue! Her school is unusual in that they don’t have a uniform which is good in some ways (because they tend to be ugly and badly-fitting) but bad in others because it would take some of the arguments away in the mornings! But at least it means I can sew whichever Oliver+S clothes I want for her – can’t wait for the knit patterns to be available btw!

I loved the blog and its great to find new ways to utilize Oliver and S patterns. I’m hoping for more sew-a-longs to develop for the new fall patterns with knits!.

Great giveaway!
I’m hoping to win so that I can purchase several Oliver + S patterns, I have one baby girl and two boys that need clothes — new clothes, not their older brother & sisters things. :)

I just got my first 2 Oliver & S patterns (Sunday Brunch & Birthday Party) in the mail the other day. They are so precious. I told myself I wouldn’t jinx future baby plans by buying any little girl things. BUT I JUST COULDN’T HELP MYSELF! I was wistfully following the Ice Cream Social sew along and caved.
Now that I own 2, I want them all.
Baby #3 will most likely be another sweet boy. :) So I should probably start buying the boy patterns.
