out and about

If you live in the vicinity of Madison, WI (my home town!), come join me on September 1 at Gayfeather Fabrics, 1521 Williamson St., at 2:00 PM for a little presentation about Oliver + S. I’ll bring some samples made from our patterns and the new City Weekend fabric collection, talk about  how I started the company, and take your questions. I think S might join us too. Be sure to call and reserve a spot, since space is limited.

And here is my teaching schedule for the fall, if you care to join me for a class:

If you’re interested in registering for any of these classes, you can contact the shop for details.

Oh bummer! I’m in Madison but that’s my daughter’s first day of Kindergarten and I have to pick her up at 2:30. I’ll watch for another visit!

Liesl, when are you going to make it out to the west coast for a workshop? Maybe you could roll it into an appearance at Sew Expo next February? :)

I really wish that I could come up. I am in Iowa and would love to come but it isn’t in the cards now.
Are you going to come to the Des Moines area in the future?

I wish you would come to Minneapolis or St.Paul. It’s not so far away from Madison.

Liesl I think you and your family need a holiday to Australia. We’d make you very welcome!

Darn it, I am flying in that day to visit my brother and will miss you by just two scant hours. Have fun!

Thanks, everyone. I’m always happy to consider travelling if a store wants to host a class. This fall is completely booked in terms of what I can reasonably handle, but feel free to encourage your local shop to contact us–I love to teach and would be perfectly willing to make the trip next spring or wherever I can fit it into my schedule.

Cheers!

I’m sad there is nothing scheduled in the hometown this fall–am visiting New York for the 2nd time in my life in October and was hoping to catch you teaching a class at Purl Soho. I am super-excited about fabric-shopping in the big city. :-)

Wow – Madison was my hometown for many years (I graduated from UW-Madison in textiles and clothing). Great town! After a long stint working in the fashion industry in NYC I am designing a new clothing line near Philadelphia. I hope to meet you October 2 at Narberth.

I am eager to try out your new knit line.

Thank you for sharing your creative, beautiful patterns!

I visited NYC the weekend of 9/17, and hemmed and hawed over altering my travel plans to come home on Monday instead of Sunday so I could attend at Purl Soho. But it was cancelled, boohoo. I did manage to buy patterns and fabric while there though. I have some City Weekend in my stash now! So anyway, how about a trip to Atlanta? It’s lovely here in the Spring! I think you should meet Deborah Moebes at Whipstitch…..
