Oliver + S Wholesale Customer Newsletter

July, 2011 Vol. 29

Where have the last six weeks gone? It seems like just days ago that we were in Salt Lake City at spring Quilt Market. It was great, as always, to catch up with so many of you there.

This short issue of our wholesale newsletter gives you a little recap of the new products we announced at Quilt Market and provides you with a downloadable copy of Todd's recent FabShop News article on increasing customer profitability.

We'll be back next month with a full preview of our new fall-winter pattern styles. Until then, enjoy the summer!

Cheers,

Liesl

Cape Ann, by Oliver + S for Moda

At spring Quilt Market, we previewed our latest fabric collection for Moda, Cape Ann, and we introduced our new pattern styles for fall and winter. For those of you who didn't get to attend the show, we've posted a few photos of our booth on our Facebook page.

Cape Ann takes its inspiration from the work of Virginia Lee Burton, founder of the Folly Cove Design Collective and illustrator of such classic children's books as Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel and The Little House

Cape Ann features sweet and charming hand-drawn illustrations which are simultaneously nostalgic and contemporary as well as supporting prints inspired by nature. The line includes 24 SKUs in quilting cotton and 24 SKUs in a wonderful brushed cotton which has the loft, warmth, and softness of flannel. To see the prints and colorways included in the collection, you can download a PDF of the line list from our website.

The collection will ship in October. Your Moda rep is taking orders now.

At Market we also previewed our three new pattern styles for fall: a girl's pant and shirt combination, a sweet dress, and an adorable unisex pajama set. We'll be featuring these items, which will begin shipping in early-September, in our next newsletter. We will also start taking pre-orders then.

Todd Gibson of Oliver + S for FabShop News

At this year's School House, we presented a well-attended talk on how you can use Oliver + S products to help increase customer profitability at your shop.

The talk generated a lot of interest during and after the show, and Todd was asked to write a piece based on it for the market recap issue of FabShop News.

If you're a FabShop member and receive FabShop News, you've probably read the piece already. If not, we've provided a downloadable version of the article on our website, courtesy of FabShop News.

We hope the piece sparks some thoughts about what you can do to increase profitability in your shop. As always, we welcome your feedback.
