March is finally here, and that has to mean that spring is just around the corner, right? Here in the northeastern part of the United States, where we've had one of the most severe winters in recent memory, we're eagerly anticipating the return of robins and the blooming of daffodils. (And, yes, we actually do have those things here in the middle of New York City.)
If spring is arriving shortly, that means the new line of Oliver + S patterns is almost ready to ship! In this month's newsletter, we preview our three new styles. We're now taking pre-orders on the line (you can download the pre-order form now), so get your order in soon to receive priority shipping when the new products hit our warehouse in early April.
In addition to previewing our new line, this month's newsletter features our book, Oliver + S Little Things to Sew, which began shipping last month and our next fabric collection with Moda, Modern Workshop, which will be available soon.
Cheers,
Liesl

Perfect for the upcoming Easter sewing season, the Family Reunion dress pattern will allow your customers to sew a classic dress featuring pintucked pleats at the front and back, a choice of button tab or ruffle embellishment at the front, and a sweet neckline.
The dress has gently gathered short sleeves, our signature hem facing with a sweet topstitched detail, and buttons up the back to complete the look.
The dress can also be shortened into a blouse.
This pattern is rated two of four scissors in difficulty and has been designed for light- to medium-weight woven fabrics like quilting cotton, voile, lawn, shirting, poplin, broadcloth, and linen.
We think your customers will love this pattern.

This easy sundress sewing pattern is sure to be a bestseller for the summer season.
The dress features button straps, princess seams, and two almost-invisible little pockets at the dropped waist which are perfect for stashing tiny treasures.
The smaller of the two size ranges (6m-4) also includes our favorite bloomers pattern.
This pattern sews up nicely in such light- to medium-weight woven fabrics as quilting cotton, chambray, voile, lawn, shirting, poplin, broadcloth, silk dupioni, and linen.
The Seashore Sundress is rated one of four scissors in difficulty and is just right for a new seamstress looking to build her skills and confidence level as she learns to sew from an apparel pattern.
The pattern also makes a good project to use in an advanced-beginner sewing class.

The pattern for these comfortable and cute elastic-waist shorts includes contrast trim, mock-wrap styling, and a faux fly.
The matching raglan-sleeve pull-on blouse includes gathers at the yokes, elastic at the shoulders, three-quarter-length sleeves, and wide hems.
The blouse has been designed for light- to medium-weight woven fabrics like quilting cotton, voile, lawn, shirting, poplin, broadcloth, and linen.
The shorts can be made from light- to medium-weight woven fabrics like quilting cotton, chambray, shirting, poplin, broadcloth, canvas, twill, and linen.
Like the new Family Reunion pattern, this style is rated as two of four scissors in difficulty.

The photos of our new spring styles all feature fabrics from our latest collection for Moda: Modern Workshop.
The collection includes 32 prints in both floral and geometric motifs that make use of a fresh, twenty-first-century color palette.
Modern Workshop includes quilting cottons, luxurious interlock knits, and new PU-coated laminates that meet CPSIA standards for use in children's clothing.
Those of you who ordered Modern Workshop pre-cuts last fall should be seeing them arrive in your shop any day now. Yardage for the line is expected to ship in April.
If you haven't ordered Modern Workshop yet, there's still time. Contact your Moda salesperson to place your order.

With an extensive media campaign kicking off this month, the book is sure to be an item your customers are looking for. You can purchase copies from United Notions, Checker, and other book suppliers today.
